“I believe in intuitions and inspirations...I sometimes FEEL that I am right. I do not KNOW that I am.”― Albert Einstein.

Why do we ignore our intuition? With everything in our being, we know something is wrong, yet we ignore our intuition. Sometimes, we voice our perceived threats to others based on our intuition and are reassured that our perception is not the reality. Some may call following one's intuition as being paranoid or delusional.  We then walk a fine line between not knowing what to do or what to say, ignoring our intuition.

Why do we decide to ignore our intuition? We know we have a "gut feeling" about something based on past experiences or perspectives on threats (person or environment), and we ignore those feelings. Sometimes, we believe other people's perceptions based on their experience (safety, support, misunderstanding) are accurate, and we ignore our intuition.

Are there consequences for ignoring one's intuition? There can be. Some information about perceiving a person or an environment as a threat comes from the unconscious mind or assessment. If we ignore our intuition and are misguided by persons we trust, something wrong could happen...

So, how do we follow our intuition? It can be challenging to follow your intuition when someone is reassuring you that things are okay and your intuition is wrong. However, try to collect as much information as possible to ensure your intuition is accurate or inaccurate. It is not always easy to discern.
