“You must walk away from persons who discredit your character to become a better you and secure your dreams.

They say there are three types of persons: leaves, branches, and roots.
Leaves are like seasons: They are unreliable, seasonal, flakes.
Branches snap under pressure: They can leave anytime without notice.
Roots can withstand pressure: They are there for you through thick and thin.
Life lesson: To avoid disappointment, one must place persons in the correct category. Yet, remain mindful that a person can change up on one at any time. Some persons will be deceitful, while others will change for their own gain over time. That is why it is important to be rooted within ourselves.
On roots: I want to write about roots. They say that these persons are the rarest. They are the ones who keep you “grounded.” Who show up no matter what (you get a divorce, lose a job, lose a home). While this is a great person to have (I consider myself to be one of them), I think that is a lot of responsibility to put on a person. It is very noble to have that much understanding for another person. Everyone should be that way. We cannot look down on another person because we are vulnerable to negative shifts in our own lives (career, family, health).
Root thyself. The focus should be on being so rooted within yourself that the absence or presence of another person during times of turmoil does not affect one. When we are rooted within ourselves, we expect the unexpected. When we are rooted within ourselves, we build a mindset that we will figure things out no matter how hard life gets. We will not be surprised when persons change up on us because we are rooted within ourselves. We show up. We do the work without expecting anyone to be there for us. If they are there for us, we are lucky. But showing up for ourselves daily when life gets in the way is being rooted.
Love thyself,
